Deleting your data
Effective 16 September 2026
This page is the deletion route referred to in our Privacy Policy and our DPDP Notice, and it is the URL Waba91 gives Meta as its data deletion instructions. It says what to ask for, how to ask, and what happens next.
What “your data” means here
Waba91 is used by two different kinds of people, and what can be deleted differs.
If you are a business using Waba91 — a clinic, an agency, a consultancy — the account is yours. Deleting it removes your business details, your services and schedule, your contacts, and the conversations your assistant held with them.
If you are a customer who messaged a business on WhatsApp, that business is the one that decides what happens to your messages. Bukka Labs, a sole proprietorship of Shivaram Reddy Bukka stores and processes them on its behalf. We will act on your request, but we act through the business, and we will tell them you asked. If you would rather ask them directly, that is usually faster.
How to ask
Email support@waba91.com from the address on your account, or — if you are a customer of a business using Waba91 — from any address, telling us the WhatsApp number you messaged from and which business you messaged.
Write “delete my data” in the subject. Nothing else is required, and you do not have to give a reason.
If you would rather not email, send STOP on WhatsApp to the business you were messaging. That stops the assistant contacting you immediately. It is not the same as deletion — it records that you opted out, which we have to keep a record of — so follow it with an email if you want the data removed as well.
What happens, and when
We acknowledge within 3 working days and complete within 30 days.
| What | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Your profile, business details, services and schedule | Deleted |
| Conversations and the media in them | Deleted, including from object storage |
| Your assistant’s configuration and its history | Deleted |
| Backups containing any of the above | Age out within 30 days of deletion |
| The fact that you opted out | Kept. Deleting it would let a message reach you again, which is the opposite of what you asked for |
| Invoices and billing records | Kept as long as Indian tax law requires. We cannot delete these and neither can you |
| Audit records of who had access to the account | Kept, so a deletion can be shown to have happened |
Anything kept is kept because a law requires it or because deleting it would harm you. We do not keep anything because it is useful to us.
Your WhatsApp messages also exist at Meta, on the business’s WhatsApp Business Account, and we cannot delete them from there. WhatsApp’s own retention is Meta’s to explain.
If you are not satisfied
Write to our Grievance Officer, Shivaram Reddy Bukka, at ram@waba91.com. If that does not resolve it, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India. The detail is in our DPDP Notice.
For Meta
This is the Data Deletion Instructions URL for the Waba91 app. Waba91 uses no Facebook Login for consumers and stores no Facebook profile data: the only Meta identity involved is a business’s own WhatsApp Business Account, connected by that business through Embedded Signup and disconnected by them at any time from WhatsApp Manager. Disconnecting stops all processing immediately; deleting what was already stored is the request above.
