Open Assistant. You will not find a box asking you to write instructions for an AI, and that is deliberate.
You fill in facts: what you do, what it costs, when you are open, how you want things handled. The assistant writes its own answers from those. You are never responsible for phrasing, and you cannot accidentally break it with a badly worded sentence.
What to fill in first
- What the business is, in one or two lines, as you would say it on the phone.
- What you offer and what each thing costs — see services and prices.
- When you are open, including the days you are not — see opening hours.
- The questions you answer every day. A diagnostic lab gets asked about fasting before a test; a site office about possession dates; a counsellor about intake deadlines; a workshop about whether they do pickup. Write the answer once.
Say what you do not want
Just as useful as what you do. If you never quote a final price over chat, say so and the assistant will stop short and hand over. If a question should always reach a person, say that too.
Try it before your customers do
There is a test conversation on the Assistant page. Type what a customer would type — including in Telugu or Hinglish, if that is what they use — and watch what it does. It is a real conversation with the real settings; nothing is sent to anyone.
Changing things later
Every change makes a new version, and you can go back. Editing a price here changes what the assistant quotes from the next message onwards — nothing already sent changes.
